What is a transfer belt?
A transfer belt collects toner powder particles from each drum unit in a laser printer. A drum unit enables specific toner particles to be applied through an electrostatic charge.
Most colour laser printers have four different drums for each colour (cyan, magenta, yellow and black). Other laser printers will vary, depending on the number of individual toner cartridges inside the machine.
