Features
U7 Lite
Compact, ceiling-mounted WiFi 7 AP with 4 spatial streams and 2.5 GbE uplink.
UniFi Access Points (APs) can work in Standalone Mode, but with limited features.
- Configuration: Each AP must be individually configured.
- Management: AP management is limited to the UniFi Mobile App (web management is not supported). Remote management is also not possible; APs can only be managed locally while connected to the WiFi.
- Roaming: Seamless roaming (802.11r/k/v) between multiple APs is not supported.
- Connectivity: APs must have a wired connection to your network; wireless meshing is not possible.
- Setup: You can set up the APs using the UniFi Mobile App by scanning the QR code on the device and following the on-screen instructions.
Standalone Mode is recommended only for small setups with a limited number of APs. For full features like seamless roaming, advanced analytics, and remote management, it is better to use a UniFi Console or Cloud Gateway.
