Serving as a frontline fighter during the Second Sino-Japanese War, the Mitsubishi Zero's first incarnation was the Model 21. The Model 21 was outfitted with 50cm folding wingtips, a landing hook, and a radio direction finder for long-range carrier-based operations. The aircraft was also armed with powerful 20 mm cannon and posessed a range of 3000km. The Model 21 is best known for participating in the Pearl Harbor attack and the Philippine invasion. This 1/48 scale model kit authentically replicates the Japanese Mitsubishi A6M2b Model 21 Zero Fighter, honoring the 80th Anniversary of the Battle of Midway.
