Legendary Powerhouse with Record Torque

In January 1999, the BNR34 GT-R was born with performance that far surpassed the specifications of the BNR33.

The power unit was a further refinement of the famous RB26DETT that had been inherited from the BNR32, and while the maximum output was limited to 280PS, the torque was 40.0kg/m, or 15.6kg/m per liter, the strongest specification of any domestic engine at the time. However, in August 2002, due to exhaust gas regulations, production was regrettably discontinued and its history came to an end.
