Even power outages won't affect this. The APC Easy-UPS On-Line automatically provides backup power without switching. This prevents unwanted outages of a PC, server, storage device, or switch, for example. With the included shutdown software, you can even shut down critical IT hardware (Windows-based) in an automated and controlled manner. This prevents data loss, downtime, and physical damage to hardware.<br><br><b>Availability</b><br>The Easy-UPS On-Line has an internal bypass and uses double-conversion technology to maximize the availability and lifespan of connected hardware. It also makes the UPS compatible with an emergency generator. This allows for a runtime of several hours.<br><br>Battery life<br><br>You can easily determine the expected battery life using the runtime graph, which you can find among the product images. This allows you to estimate how long the UPS will provide backup power at a given load.<br><br>Safety<br><br>This Easy-UPS On-Line protects connected devices against surges, such as those caused by lightning.<br><br>Easy to use<br>With the optional Easy-UPS On-Line Network Management Card (AP9544), you can connect these UPSs directly to your network. This makes the APC UPS easy to manage remotely via SNMP and allows it to send a shutdown signal to multiple, potentially virtual, servers via the network using PowerChute network shutdown software. If you want to monitor the UPSs using floating/dry contacts, choose the relay (VGL9901i) plug-in card.<br><br>Power distribution<br>The optional APC rack PDU AP7585 distributes power to 4x C19 and is easily connected to the hardwire output of the UPS.<br><br>Mounting<br>The UPS comes with a 19-inch rail kit for easy rack mounting.<br><br><b>Extend Lifespan</b><br>The standard included external battery cartridge (SRV240RLBP-9A) is easy, safe, and user-replaceable. This is without having to turn off the APC UPS or connected equipment.
