The PABX Master Adapter has the bell capacitor fixed between one of the lines and the UK bell line connected to the telephone makes it ring. The resistor fitted from the capacitor to the another line remotely detects the line's availability.
PABX Master adaptor can be use on PABX systems by using standard UK telephones. The secondary adaptors only have resistor. They are used for extensions from a mastered telephone.
