SmallRig 1.55x Anamorphic Lens for Mobile Phone (T-mount) 3578B

The 1.55x Anamorphic Lens from SmallRig captures a widescreen aspect ratio, delivering a cinema-like visual experience with a dreamy anamorphic blue lens flare effect. This lens features a standard T-mount interface that works with T-mount cages, phone cases, and lens clips.

Anamorphic lenses bring video to life in a way that spherical (non-anamorphic) lenses cannot. It works by squeezing the image horizontally at a factor of 1.55x to record a higher resolution onto the sensor. The image is then de-squeezed in real time using an app, such as Blackmagic Cam (free), FotorGear (free), or FilMic Pro (paid), or during post-production. The result is a 2.76:1 aspect ratio for videos.

Built using aluminum alloy, glass, and silicone, this lens also features a 130° diagonal angle of view, -83° of distortion, a minimum focusing distance of 2.7 to 3.5", and three HD optical glass elements with a multi-layered, anti-reflective coating. Thanks to a 67mm filter thread, users will be able to use 67mm filters and adapters with this lens. Included is lens clip, a lens cover, and a cleaning cloth.

Swift Magnetic Alignment with Dual Locking Mechanism

To ensure optimal image quality, make sure the lens is perfectly level or vertical when installed. Alignment can be checked using scale lines or symbols to establish a straight line.

Please Note

- Not suitable for lenses with a shooting angle that is greater than 85°, such as ultra-wide lenses for smartphones
- Only compatible with devices that have a T-mount interface
- A mobile film app is required for use, such as Blackmagic Cam, FiLMiC Pro, or FotorGear
- When installing the lens, make sure it is perfectly horizontal or vertical, which can be determined by the alignment marks on the lens surface or the straightness of the flare during filming
- The hole of the lens clip must be aligned with the lens, as any misalignment may result in vignetting
- Any scratches to the optical elements will affect the image quality

Installation Instructions - Included Lens Clip

- Rotate the lens base 90° clockwise and lock it on to the lens clip
- Attach the lens clip to the phone lens and align it to the main or telephoto lens
- Attach the lens body to the base with the magnetic mount and align the alignment line upward, then adjust the angle to make sure it's level and tighten the screw on the base to secure the lens

Installation Instructions - Phone Cage or Case with T-Mount

Hold the magnetic base, align it with the mounting slot of your phone's main or telephoto lens, and rotate it 90° clockwise
Secure the lens on to the base magnetically, adjust its angle to ensure proper alignment, maintain a level position, and securely fasten the lens to the base by tightening the screw
