This R/C model assembly kit is a re-released and updated version of Thunder Shot, the original of which was first released in 1987. It features a stylish body molded in polycarbonate, which is pre-cut and pre-painted in white and blue, with a transparent canopy. An optional rear wing is also included to let you fine-tune the Thunder Shot (2022), also pre-painted and pre-cut.

Smooth Shaft-Driven 4WD

With a midship motor layout and shaft-driven 4WD setup, the chassis is based around a lightweight and rigid ABS plastic frame that stows R/C equipment internally and features gearbox units with internal differential front and rear that have the suspension attached to them. That four-wheel double wishbone suspension features upper "I" and lower "H" arms and packs a single CVA oil damper at the front, with a pair at the rear, plus a front stabilizer: the result is a smooth, flowing drive. Other features of note include an aluminum motor mount, plus grippy spike tires on all four corners.

The compact, futuristic body is molded in lightweight and durable polycarbonate.

Sturdy and easy to work on, the chassis has an ergonomic design based around an ABS bathtub.

The front double-wishbone suspension employs upper "I" and lower "H" arms.

A front monoshock setup sees the CVA oil damper laid on its side. The stabilizer helps supress roll.

An aluminum motor mount not only keeps the motor securely attached, it also acts as a heat sink.

The rear of the chassis also uses double-wishbone suspension, with a pair of CVA oil dampers.

One-piece dish wheels will attract less mud, and are paired with semi-pneumatic spike tires.

A polycarbonate cover helps minimize debris getting into the chassis, and even features a driver figure!

A separate rear wing is also included for optional attachment to the Thunder Shot (2022).
