The U7 Pro XGS Black is Ubiquiti's premium, ceiling- or wall-mounted Wi-Fi 7 access point, tailored for high-density enterprise environments such as campuses, hotels, and large offices. It operates on tri-band (2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, 6 GHz) with eight spatial streams (2x2 MIMO on 2.4 GHz and 6 GHz; 4x4 MIMO on 5 GHz), enabling total throughput of up to 8.6 Gbps on 5 GHz, 5.8 Gbps on 6 GHz, and 688 Mbps on 2.4 GHz. The combined aggregate bandwidth reaches approximately 15 Gbps, supporting over 500 simultaneous clients and covering around 160 m² (1,750 ft²).

Distinctively, the U7 Pro XGS features a dedicated spectral scanning radio that performs real-time interference analysis-optimizing channel selection and system performance in crowded wireless environments. Its fanless, flat-metal base design serves as a robust passive heat sink, enhancing reliability and reducing noise compared to earlier UniFi models.

The device includes a single 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10GBASE-T) RJ45 port, backward-compatible with 5 G, 2.5 G, and 1 G speeds, and delivers power over PoE++ (802.3bt). It supports a voltage range of 42.5 - 57 V DC and consumes up to 29 W.

In terms of radio performance, the device offers antenna gain of 6 dBi on both the 5 GHz and 6 GHz bands, and 4 dBi on 2.4 GHz. The maximum transmit powers are rated at 29 dBm (5 GHz), 24 dBm (6 GHz), and 23 dBm (2.4 GHz). It supports up to eight BSSIDs per radio, and wide channel bandwidths-from 20 up to 240 MHz on 5 GHz, and up to 320 MHz on 6 GHz.

This access point integrates a full suite of enterprise software features, including band steering, mesh networking, 802.11k/r/v roaming, Zero-Wait DFS, Passpoint (Hotspot 2.0), spectral analysis, guest portal authentication (voucher, payment, PPSK, RADIUS/TLS, VLAN), client isolation, per-SSID speed limits, and schedule-based control. It requires UniFi Network Controller version 9.1.120 or later.
