1/100 - Sturmpz.IV "Brummbar"

The Sturmpanzer IV, widely known by the nickname "Brummbär" (German for "Grouch" or "Grumbler"), was a German assault gun used during World War II. Built on the chassis of the reliable Panzer IV medium tank, it was designed to provide direct fire support for infantry, especially in urban and fortified areas.

Production of the Brummbär began in April 1943, and it remained in service until the end of the war. Only 306 units were produced, making it a relatively rare vehicle. Despite the limited numbers, it played a significant role in several major battles, including Kursk, Anzio, and Normandy.

Brummbär units were deployed in four separate Sturmpanzer battalions, often attached to infantry divisions. Their presence on the battlefield gave German infantry a much-needed boost in breaking through enemy defensive positions. Despite its bulk and limited mobility, the Brummbär's shock power made it feared by Allied forces.
